Tour Overview
Experience the magic of the Eastern Jewels: the unbeatable energy of New York City, the history of Washington DC and Boston, the charm of Philadelphia, and the majesty of Niagara Falls. A journey rich in culture, scenery, and unforgettable memories.
Itinerary
Day 1 – New York
Arrival at the hotel on your own. Free day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 2 – New York / Philadelphia / Lancaster / Washington
American breakfast. Departure toward Philadelphia, the city where the thirteen colonies declared independence from England.
City tour includes: Elfreth’s Alley, the old Victorian district, Benjamin Franklin Boulevard with a stop in front of the Art Museum, the Rocky Steps, and the Liberty Bell.
Free time for lunch (not included).
After lunch, continue to Amish Country for a stop at an Amish market and panoramic visit.
Arrival in Washington DC in the late afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 3 – Washington
American breakfast. A four-hour city tour including: Arlington Cemetery (gravesites of the Kennedy brothers), Lincoln Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial, the White House (exterior), Pennsylvania Avenue, and the U.S. Capitol.
Free afternoon to visit Smithsonian Museums. Overnight stay.
Day 4 – Washington / Niagara Falls
American breakfast. Early morning departure to Niagara Falls, driving through Pennsylvania and New York and crossing the Appalachian Mountains.
Arrival in the afternoon. Depending on the season, the Maid of the Mist boat tour will be taken today or the following morning. Overnight stay.
Day 5 – Niagara Falls / Boston
American breakfast. Morning visit to Niagara Falls, including Goat Island, Lake Ontario, Old Fort Niagara, and the hydroelectric dam.
Departure to Boston at the scheduled time. Overnight stay.
Day 6 – Boston
American breakfast. Morning city tour: Harvard University, Copley Square (facing Trinity Church), Back Bay neighborhood, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and the waterfront area.
Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 7 – Boston / Newport / New York
American breakfast. Departure toward New York City.
Stop in Newport, the charming sailing capital of the United States, known for its mansions including those of the Vanderbilt and Astor families.
Free time for lunch (not included), then continuation to New York, arriving mid-afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 8 – New York
American breakfast. Full city tour.
Heading to Uptown Manhattan via Central Park, passing Lincoln Center, the Dakota Building and Strawberry Fields. Photo stop at the Imagine plaque honoring John Lennon.
Continue to Harlem, then down Fifth Avenue where you will see the Met, the Frick Collection and the Guggenheim.
Brief stop near Madison Square for views of the Flatiron Building and Empire State.
Continue to Lower Manhattan visiting: Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, Little Italy, Wall Street, Trinity Church, and St. Paul’s Chapel.
Short walking tour to Battery Park to admire the Statue of Liberty.
Passengers may stay in Lower Manhattan or return by bus to 34th Street.
Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 9 – New York
American breakfast. End of services.
