Itinerary
Day 1: QUITO
Airport – hotel transfer (1h), accommodation.
Day 2: OTAVALO + COTACACHI

08:30 Departure from your hotel heading north to visit the “Plaza de Ponchos” at the Otavalo handicraft and textile market. We will also visit Cotacachi and its leather shops. Along the way, enjoy the Andean landscapes provided by Lake San Pablo and the Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes. This is essentially a cultural shopping tour. Return.
Day 3: QUITO + MIDDLE OF THE WORLD with Attractions (6h)
08:30 Departure to the Historic Center “World Heritage Site”, visiting the Basilica (includes entrance to the towers and giant stained glass), Plaza Grande, Government Palace, Church of La Compañía de Jesús (includes entrance and guided tour), Plaza and Church of San Francisco, and the Panecillo viewpoint. Then transfer to the Middle of the World city, free time for lunch, visit to the Monument to the Equator Line (included) and the “Intiñan” Museum (included). Final stop at the Cable Car (optional, not included). Return to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 4: QUITO – AVENUE OF VOLCANOES – RIOBAMBA
08:00 Departure along the Pan-American Highway southbound. We will appreciate several mountains and snow-capped volcanoes along the route. Stops at 3 viewpoints to admire “Los Ilinizas”, “Cotopaxi” and “Tungurahua” (from Ambato). Visit to a Rose Farm to observe cultivation, harvest, and export packing processes. Continue to Guano, known for crafts, monoliths, and mummies. In Riobamba: panoramic city tour, Neptuno Park and Loma de Quito viewpoint. Accommodation.
Day 5: RIOBAMBA – CHIMBORAZO – INGAPIRCA – CUENCA (8h)
08:00 Departure to the sandy areas of CHIMBORAZO. Unique landscapes of the highest mountain in Ecuador (6310 masl), and spotting camelids such as alpacas and vicuñas in their natural habitat. Continue to the archaeological ruins of INGAPIRCA; visit the site museum. Arrival in Cuenca, World Heritage city. Accommodation.
Day 6: CUENCA – GUALACEO (6h)
08:30 Morning city tour of Cuenca, World Heritage Site, admiring its architecture and landscapes shaped by the four rivers that cross the city. Visit to the Cathedral Domes (included), El Turi viewpoint, Calderón Park, “Ethnographic Museum” and the “Ortega” Panama hat factory. 15:00 Visit the nearby towns of GUALACEO with its Orchid Garden (included) and the jewelry shops of CHORDELEG. Return to Cuenca. Accommodation.
Day 7: CUENCA – GUAYAQUIL (4h)
08:00 Land transfer to the city of Guayaquil (4h), passing through the lake region of “El Cajas”. Enjoy the “3 Crosses” viewpoint (if route is open). Along the way we will observe cocoa, rice and banana plantations. Already in Guayaquil, we will cross the Guayas River through its magnificent bridges, visit Cerro Paraíso viewpoint for a 360° view of the city, and transfer to the hotel.
15:00 Visit to Iguana Park and walk along the Malecón, admiring its attractions such as La Rotonda, Las Peñas, and La Perla Ferris wheel (included). Return. Accommodation.
